Carbon Conductive Ink
Carbon Conductive Ink can be used as electrodes in capacitive sensors and can also be implemented in capacitive touch screen systems. In a capacitive touch sensor, the electrode line length must be optimized, compromising a lower line length and maintaining high conductivity to ensure rapid signal propagation. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the rheology of the inkjet and select a screen printing pattern with a high magnification number to allow for high-resolution patterns. In the present work, Carbon Ink was optimized using CMC as a polymer binder for the development of water-based screen printing inks to be applied to a capacitive touch sensor. Conductive thin lines with good adhesion and homogeneity have been developed for an 8 ”touch screen application. All processing steps were masked down to a perfectly functioning device: ink development, print processing, and device assembly with a fully optimized electronic system for touch detection. The insert formulation is adapted to the conductive insert presented in the reference, using this batch of graphene nanoparticles (GNP), but modifying the content of the solid relative to the solvent.
