Yttrium Powder

Yttrium is a chemical element with the symbol Y and atomic number 39. Yttrium powder finds a variety of applications in different fields due to its unique properties. Some of its applications include:

Ceramics and glass: Yttrium oxide is used in the production of various ceramics and glass to improve their mechanical strength and heat resistance. It is also used in the production of yttria-stabilized zirconia, which is used as a high-temperature-resistant ceramic material.

LED phosphors: Yttrium is a crucial component in the production of red, green, and blue phosphors for LEDs (light-emitting diodes) and other display technologies. Yttrium oxide is used as a phosphor host lattice for red LEDs, and yttrium-aluminum-garnet is used for phosphors in LEDs and CRT (cathode ray tube) displays.
